• Evidence that the Glossopleura-bearing interval in the Carrara Formation is properly designated as the Glossopleura Zonule is provided by an important collection with specimens of Glossopleura from a thin-bedded silty unit about 150 m above the base of the Bonanza King Formation, which overlies the Carrara Formation, in the Striped Hills section, Nevada (pi. 17).
