When: Yorktown Formation, Late/Upper Miocene (11.6 - 5.3 Ma)

• the uppermost Miocene bed around Claremont, fossils taken from wall of pit and picked up from weathered-out material scattered about the floor of the pit

Environment/lithology: marine; marl

Size classes: macrofossils, mesofossils

• one finger (P. herbstii);
