When: Amorphognathus superbus conodont zone, Sulphur Well Member (Lexington Formation), Shermanian (457.3 - 449.6 Ma)

• Given as lower Flanagan Cherts, which are a mix of cherty beds. The lower ones in the Danville section belong to the Sulphur Well Member according to McLaughlin et al. 2004.

•Sulphur Well spans M6A-M6B, but they put it below the boundary.

Environment/lithology: cherty/siliceous limestone and shale

• Calcarenite with "cherty" layers.

Size class: macrofossils

Preservation: replaced with silica
