• Middle Aeronian; upper part of member.

Environment/lithology: marine; mudstone and shelly/skeletal sandstone

• "The lower range...is near the lower limits of the transition zone, and the rest of it is probably deposited entirely within the transition zone...The bioclasitc beds and fine sst interbeds interpreted as storm events...very high frequ. of storm events indicates shallow conditions...upper range of BA 4 into 3...degree of transport minimal."
• "The type sequence consists of mudstone interbedded with very abundant, thin coquinas and fine sandstones." Idris 1984: "Represents the shallowest water of the Stricklandia community, and limestone strata at this Point are coarser grained and light grey in colour. Sandstone horizons occur more frequently than at Point E (Loc N4)."
