• Callovian according to the author, based on resemblance to the fauna of Kuhn Island (repeated in the Index of Statigraphy of North America 1912 pg. 547).

•Revised as Charmouthian (Pliensbachian) by Rosenkrantz.

Environment/lithology: marine; lithified, fine-grained, micaceous, quartzose, gray, calcareous sandstone

• Sandstone, slightly calcareous rock with numerous small scales of white mica. Fine-grained, dense and somewhat quartzitic, sometimes conglomeratic.
