AGE: Lower Devonian (lower Dittonian); assigned to Lochkovian on the basis of other nearby localities. STRATIGRAPHIC POSITION: From 100 ft above bed 44 of Fletcher's section (Ami, 1901), thus presumably bed 54; on conversely bed 22 of Leonard's section (Leonard, 1951). Approximately 760 ft above the lowermost exposure of the Knoydart Fm.
