Where: Beijing, China (39.8° N, 116.1° E: paleocoordinates 44.7° N, 109.5° E)

When: Lushangfen Formation, Late/Upper Albian (105.3 - 99.6 Ma)

• middle of formation; above and below plant- and insect-bearing beds

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: lacustrine delta front; lenticular, yellow, conglomeratic sandstone

• "the delta front facies of a lakeshore"
• "yellow, thick-bedded gravel sandstone, which lies at the bottom of a sequence of red-brown clastic rocks….The bed consists of different-sized snad-gravel lenses."
