When: Araneograptus murrayi graptolite zone, Upper Member (Fezouata Formation), Tremadocian (485.4 - 477.7 Ma)
• Was Floian-Dapingian.
•Ebbestad & Lefebre: "The detailed, revised biostratigraphic framework produced by Martin et al. (in press) based on both graptolites and acritarchs confirms the late Tremadocian age (A. murrayi biozone) for low-diversity assemblages occurring in the lower part of the succession (between 240 and 300 m above the contact with underlying Cambrian strata). It also confirms that high-diversity faunas are found predominantly in the upper part of the Fezouata Shale, either in latest Tremadocian (H. copiosus biozone: Z-F0) or in early Floian deposits (Z-F24 and Z-F26). However, extensive field work in the Lower Ordovician of Zagora area (2012-2014, ANR project RALI) clearly suggests a late Tremadocian age (A. murrayi Biozone) for the Z-F5 assemblage. The Z-F5 fauna is thus older than all other high-diversity Early Ordovician."
