• According to Wilmsen (2000), "The holotype was assigned by Wiedmann( 1960, p. 192) to his earliest Turonian zone of Metoicoceras swallovi which is a synonym of M. geslinianum, a Late Cenomanian index fossil. Therefore, A. (A.) vascogoticus is now placed in the Late Cenomanian."
