When: Rio do Rasto Formation (Passa Dois Group), Roadian to Roadian (272.3 - 259.9 Ma)
• The beds from which vertebrates come are correlated with the Tapinocephalus Assemblage Zone (Karroo) and the Isheevo Complex (Russia), which are Capitanian or Wordian to Capitanian in age (Cisneros et al. 2005, fig. 6; Tsuji & Müller, 2008, Can. J. Earth Sci. 45, fig. 2). For discussion see Cisneros et al. (2005, p. 21).
