• Based on these chronological information, Takano et al. [3] estimated the age of the Ichibangawa Formation (except the glauconite bed) to be approximately 11.5–10 Ma, and they also considered the uppermost glauconite bed of the Ichibangawa Formation to be around 10–9.5 Ma based on previous studies.
