When: Hoploscaphites birkelundae ammonoid zone, Pierre Shale Formation, Late/Upper Maastrichtian (70.6 - 66.0 Ma)

• Near the base of the upper transition member of the Pierre Shale. The label refers to impressions of Baculites clinolobatus 20 ft (6.1 m) below this specimen, suggesting that this specimen is in or just above the B. clinolobatus Zone, in the Hoploscaphites birkelundae Zone.
