• 'middle fossiliferous beds' of the Madumabisa Mudstone according to Drysdall & Kitching (1963); Angielczyk et al. (2014) argued that the Upper Madumabisa Mudstone contains a single faunal assemblage correlated to the Cistecephalus Assemblage Zone of South Africa.
