Where: Norway (59.9° N, 10.5° E: paleocoordinates 21.2° S, 7.9° W)

When: Sjørvoll Member (Steinsfjorden Formation), Sheinwoodian (433.4 - 430.5 Ma)

• Transition between the old stages 9b and 9c, now assigned to the Wenlock Sjørvoll Member of the Steinsfjorden Formation

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: peritidal; lithified, stromatolitic, intraclastic, argillaceous limestone

• Grey slaty limestones interbedded with layers of dolomitic limestone. Mudflake conglomerates, desiccation cracks and algal laminations are common in the beds.

Size class: macrofossils

Collected by G. Henningsmoen in 1953,1959
