When: Parawocklumeria paradoxa ammonoid zone, Woodford Shale Formation, Late/Upper Famennian (364.7 - 360.7 Ma)

• The ammonoids come from ca. 2 meters below to 0.5 m above sample level R19 of Over (1992, RSP section). Upper Wocklumeria Stufe, probably UD VI-C2 (upper Parawocklumeria Genozone). PJW: Fig. 2 puts this locality squarely in the Parawocklumeria paradoxa zone.

Environment/lithology: marine; lithified, nodular, phosphatic, pyritic shale

• Pyritic (marcasitic) dark grey shales with beds of phosphate nodules containing pyrite and rare carbonate concretions

Size class: macrofossils
