• Nichols' list includes so many invalid names that it must be considered suspect
"geomyid" apparently comes from a much lower part of the section
"Merycodus sp." seems dubious because Nichols goes on to list Cosoryx later in the list, after the tayassuids, which suggests they are the same thing
