Where: Medina County, Texas (29.4° N, 99.3° W: paleocoordinates 34.9° N, 72.6° W)

• coordinate based on nearby landmark

• outcrop-level geographic resolution

When: Anacacho Formation, Early/Lower Campanian to Early/Lower Campanian (83.5 - 70.6 Ma)

• Ammonite distributions suggest that at least two time intervals are represented by the Anacacho in the type area and probably elsewhere; a lower Campanian and a middle Campanian interval. The stratigraphic position of this collection is unknown.

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: perireef or subreef; lithified, shelly/skeletal limestone

• Most fossiliferous parts of the Anacacho Limestone are reefal to lagoonal facies developed around volcanic cones
• The Anacacho is mainly composed of bioclastic and argillaceous limestones with subsidiary clay and marl interbeds. Lithified based on outcrop photos.
