• From the lower part of the Sandstone formation. Based on stratigraphic position above the Sandy shale formation and below the Tuff formation, the fossils derive from what is now called the Daishaka Formation.

Environment/lithology: coastal; unlithified, muddy sandstone

• "Upper sublittoral"
• Rather coarse-grained sandstone, partly conglomeratic and muddier at its lower than at its upper part.
