according to MacFadden et al. 1990, the Lapilli Sandstone in the uppermost Hell Gate Basin section may correlate with the uppermost Rodent Hill Basin section, and a tuff in this unit is dated at 13.4 +/- 0.2 Ma (KA); however, the exact correlation is not indicated and the dated tuff itself apparently is not present in the latter section
