• Devils Cove member (Betz, 1939), a regionally mapped carbonate unit, 3 to 8 m thick, at the base of the formation, is characterized by its red to purple colour, nodular fabric with abundant shale partings and mix of grainy and fine-grained carbonate. Scattered archeocyathans occur with

•other skeletal debris in grainstone.
