When: Collón Cura Formation, Colloncuran (15.5 - 13.8 Ma)

• A recent 40Ar/39Ar analysis in amphibole crystals collected from fresh pumice clasts revealed an age of 14.86 ± 0.13 Ma for the middle section of the Collón Curá Formation in the Gastre Basin (Bilmes et al. 2013), placing this unit and its fauna in the middle Miocene (Langhian)
