• middle part of the lower shale member; ammonites in the uppermost part of the underlying upper Pen Formation pertain to the Scaphites hippocrepis III zone (c. 82 Ma) while those in the overlying Rattlesnake Mountain sandstone member of the Aguja pertain to the Baculites maclearni zone (c. 80 Ma)
