Where: Sakon Nakhon, Thailand (17.1° N, 104.2° E: paleocoordinates 15.7° N, 112.2° E)

When: Sao Khua Formation (Khorat Group), Late/Upper Barremian (130.0 - 125.5 Ma)

• Non-marine bivalves suggest the Sao Khua Formation is late Barremian in age (Tumpeesawan et al. 2010; Samathi et al. 2019)

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: "floodplain"; red, silty mudstone

• "low energy quiet environment (overbank, small pond or oxbow lake margin)"
• Fossils found in situ from reddish silty mudstone which is underlain and overlain by sandstone beds.
