Where: Nunavat, Canada (73.8° N, 98.5° W: paleocoordinates 2.2° S, 29.7° W)

When: Peel Sound Formation, Lochkovian (419.2 - 410.8 Ma)

Environment/lithology: alluvial fan; lithified, lenticular, argillaceous, calcareous sandstone and lithified, brown marl

• The environmental setting was probably a non-marine, alluvial fan system (Broad et al. 1968), whereby the marine Douro Formation grades into the Peel Sound
