When: Kaihoka Member (Abel Head Formation), Chattian (28.1 - 23.0 Ma)

• Late Whaingaroan to Duntroonian, according to Strogan et al. (2019). Kaihoka Member is middle-upper part (Titheridge, 1977), so a Chattian age is tentatively assigned.

Environment/lithology: shoreface; conglomeratic sandstone

• Interbedded horizontal and cross stratified, locally micaceous, fine sandstones, massive granular very coarse to coarse sandstones and fine pebble to silty, sandy fine pebble conglomerate.
