• The fossils come from a 500 m thick sequence, which this or author calls "Magallanense terrestrial" "Upper Section of Magallanense" which apparently corresponds to the Santa Cruz Formation

Environment/lithology: terrestrial; green, red sandstone and white, yellow tuff

• It is composed of rusty or slightly greenish sandstones, dark gray and gray clays, white or yellowish tuffs (especially in the middle part) and conglomerates.
