Where: Liege, Belgium (50.3° N, 4.9° E: paleocoordinates 17.5° S, 4.5° E)

• coordinate based on nearby landmark

• small collection-level geographic resolution

When: Grandispora gracilis zone, Bois des Mouches Formation, Late/Upper Famennian (364.7 - 360.7 Ma)

• "Late Famennian, Bois des Mouches Formation. Age based upon miospore assemblages (Grandispora gracilis – Grandispora famennensis biozone) and regional stratigraphic correlations of the deposits."

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: wet floodplain; gray, green shale

• "darkish grey and greenish grey shales corresponding to the last channel-filling phases, which may have been deposited in a large floodplain. Most of the specimens are disarticulated, but several found in the finer green grey shales are largely complete, which is evidence for absence of (or very limited) transport in a calm and confined environment of the floodplain."

Size class: macrofossils
