• The plant remains occur in the grey sandstones and slates in thelower and middle part of the series. ......most of the plant remains were collected in a couple of narrowly circumscribed localtiies and chiefly in loose boulders.

Environment/lithology: fluvial; gray sandstone and gray, conglomeratic slate

• Sediments are possibly from a braided river system with adjacent floodplains.
• Lithology is of sandstones and gray slates, and phylltic breccias, some of these with pyrite or iron oxides on surface or in some cases froming permineralized regions.
