• The example was found by the writer in the dark sandy shales of the Elder Creek group in the lower part of the Knoxville on Toms Creek, Tehama County, about 2000 feet stratigraphically above its base; Elder Creek Group is indicated as "Portlandian" in age (=Tithonian?)
