• "Based on micromammals, the age of the fauna may be defined as Lower Pliocene (MN 14) (KORDOS 1994; FEJFAR et al. 1998)" (Venczel, 2001).

Environment/lithology: fissure fill; calcareous breccia and limestone

• The fossil locality is a "bone pocket" within a fissure fill of Middle Triassic limestone. The fossil bearing sediments are described as "brecciated".
