Environment/lithology: marine; lime mudstone and bioturbated, silty mudstone

• "...open shelf, periodically affected by wave action that produced wave rippled beds. Betw. high energy events, carb. mud settled from suspension to produce carb. mudst. and skeletal wackestone. Low energy with slow steady deposition. Fossils articulated, approx. in life position. Possibly BA 3 or deep BA 2."
• "interbedded limestone and silty mudstone lithfaces" From Ratcliffe 1991 (ref. 6688): facies is composed of varying proportions of continuous limestone beds separated by silty mudstone. Lst beds compositionally variable; carb. mudstones, skeletal wackestones, skeletal packstones, crinoidal grainstones and peloidal grainstones all common. .Wave rippled bedding surfaces and symmetrical cross lamination common. Small coral/stromatop. bioherms occur.
