• "..very shallow water environment characterized by quiet water and wide distribution of algal lime muds...BA 2-3 environemtn, with only slightly agitated water and difficult water exchange conditions...In such areas stromatop. and Parastriat. meadows could have only developed from time to time during intervals of more active bottom water circulation in discrete areas of the sea floor. [Fossils] chiefly buried in situe, but crinoidal debris appears to have suffered transport."
