Environment/lithology: marine; oncoidal, shelly/skeletal, gray limestone and shelly/skeletal, gray, argillaceous limestone

• "...massive, local shell accumulations...firm level bottom consisting of small shell banks, with shells anchored to hard substrates...environment moderately turbulent, only occasionally affected by enough rough water to disarticulate the brachiopods and form shell accumulations. BA 3, rough water community."
• "...occurs in gray and dark gray, thin to medium bedded, organogenic limestone, which is oncolitic in the Central Urals and argillaceous in Novaya Zemlya..."
