Where: Nunavut, Canada (76.0° N, 98.0° W: paleocoordinates 2.1° S, 26.2° W)
• coordinate estimated from map
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Stuart Bay Formation, Lochkovian (419.2 - 410.8 Ma)
• Age of faunas discussed at length in this paper. Author concludes they are correlative with Quadrithyris Zone of Nevada, and of Late Lochkovian age.
• bed-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: open shallow subtidal; limestone
•SEP: this is a tough one. The unit is definitely clastic dominated and contains only minor carbonate away from the reefs. This environment is probably above normal wave base, relatively near a sed source but sufficiently far out in the cratonic basin to be relatively starved of clastic sediments, which are probably transported into basin primarily during storms. it is also likely to be part of the TST;
