Where: Nunavut, Canada (75.8° N, 98.4° W: paleocoordinates 2.2° S, 26.5° W)
• coordinate stated in text
• local area-level geographic resolution
When: Stuart Bay Formation, Lochkovian (419.2 - 410.8 Ma)
• Author considers fauna to be correlative with Quadrithyris Zone of Nevada. This is interpreted as Late Lochkovian by Johnson (1975, PBDB ref. 7311).
• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: transition zone or lower shoreface; siltstone and limestone
•SEP: this is a tough one. The unit is definitely clastic dominated and contains only minor carbonate away from the reefs. This environment is probably above normal wave base, relatively near a sed source but sufficiently far out in the cratonic basin to be relatively starved of clastic sediments, which are probably transported into basin primarily during storms. it is also likely to be part of the TST; for all of these reasons, I have assigned it a lower shorface DEPTH.
