• Level within site GvJm 62. Dated using C14, maximum age ~21,000, minimum 12,000. C14 dates Sample Gx-5774 = 21,535 (+-) 980, sample Gx-5773 = 11,950 (+-) 460 and 12,195 (+-) 330.

Environment/lithology:

• Tropical climate, savanna biome. Becoming even more arid, near desert conditions. Open air site.

Size class: macrofossils

Collection methods: Late Pleistocene geometric (upper) separated by 30cm of low density artifactual material from lower, microlith-rich LSA. Material held in Kenya National Museum.
