Environment/lithology: terrestrial; mudstone

• The Azolla plants are preserved flat in well-cemented mudstone and are noteworthy for having attached megaspore complexes and microspore-bearing bodies.

• Woodwardia arctica (Heer) Brown, Fokienia catenulata (Bell) Brown, Spirodela scutata Dawson, and Platanus raynoldsii Newberry, along with other stratigraphically long-ranging genera such as Metasequoia and Cercidiphyllum are also present at this locality and used for biostratigraphy.
