• Relatively undisturbed buff to grey coloured beds outcropped around the camp. 'Superimposed on older deposits assigned to the Hsanda Gol Formation these sediments seemed homogeneous to the field party and were named collectively the Khunuk Formation.' Fossils were collected from three separate localities, which may or may not be of the same age so they have been designated A, B and C. Site A was discovered 'on June 25, 1925, 'about 5 miles' east southeast of their camp.' 'The specimen occured low in a section '120 feet' thick and other fossils lay scattered on 'both sides of the trail''.
