Also known as Yelisseev locality, Grebenka flora
Where: Russian Federation (64.5° N, 168.9° E: paleocoordinates 78.6° N, 166.0° W)
• coordinate estimated from map
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Krivorechenskaya Formation, Albian to Albian (113.0 - 93.9 Ma)
• uppermost Albian to Lower Cenomanian
• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: wet floodplain; siltstone
•with a 30-cm-thick well-sorted horizontally lami-
•nated siltstone bed with abundant plant remains
•(Fig.6).Mature,poorly preserved silicified tree
•trunks were observed in growth position,20 cm
•in diameter, branched and with nearby fallen
•branch remains.A single burrow was recorded,
•oblique-to-bedding,and 1.5 cm in width.In the
•uppermost part of the bed current ripples were
•observed indicating a main palaeocurrent direc-
•tion to the south. This bed is interpreted to rep-
•resent floodplain pond sedimentation.Above and
•below this siltstone,coarse-grained sandstones
•with chaotically oriented 5 - 6-cm-long wood frag-
•ments occur.
Size class: macrofossils
