• COMMENTS: Underlain by Marshalltown Formation (burrowed quartz sand) - collection 35048. AGE: Late Campanian, on the basis of ammonoid biostratigraphy; Didymoceras stevensoni-Exiteloceras jenneyi zone. PJW: This is for the overlying Mount Laurel formation; for the Marshalltown, the authors write: “In the Western Interior, Menuites portlocki complexus occurs in the upper part of the zone of Baculites gregoryensis and in the lower part of the overlying zone of B. scotti.”
