Also known as Seine l'Abbaye, Bourgogne, Burgandy, Cote-d'Or

Where: Bourgogne, France (47.5° N, 4.8° E: paleocoordinates 37.5° N, 14.7° E)

• coordinate estimated from map

• local area-level geographic resolution

When: Dalle nacrée Formation, Early/Lower Bathonian (167.7 - 164.7 Ma)

• The (Early) Bathonian age is based on the pelecypods, forams, and cephalopods listed by name in the occurrence list.

• bed-level stratigraphic resolution

Environment/lithology: shallow subtidal; argillaceous mudstone and white, yellow, calcareous carbonate

• The sedimentology and paleontology indicates a low energy environment, no current traces, where very fine, evolved, terrigenous sediment and pelagic life are deposited. Calm infratidal zone.
• An imprint of a crocodilien mandible is found in a "biopelmicrite" matrix with debris of lamellibranchs, crinoids, foraminiferans, radiolarians, serpule filaments. This fossil-bearing microfacies is typical within yellowish-white limestone used in the past for building stone.
