• Fossils are from a trench and associated fissure below, preserved in sand from weathering of surrounding upper Cretaceous sediments.

Environment/lithology: fissure fill; medium-grained, red sandstone and carbonate

• 5 cm of red medium-grained sand with little cement. At the top of the bed is a calcareous cap 1 cm thick.
