When: Burngrove Formation (Blackwater Group), Capitanian to Capitanian (264.3 - 252.2 Ma)
• In Text-fig. 3 (McLoughlin, 1992), the Blackwater Group in the Dawson Tectonic Zone is undifferentiated. If this locality is in the Dawson Tectonic Zone, the Burngrove Formation here cannot from this figure be assigned to any more restricted time interval than that given here (Capitanian to Changxingian). If the locality is in the Comet Platform, however, the Burngrove Formation here must be within the Longtanian (according to Text-fig. 3). Because of the uncertainty as to the exact location of this locality, the more conservative age range is given here.
