• 'shallow carbonate ramp with abundant reef dwelling fauna...have the character of reef banks.' 'northern margin of Devonian back-arc or related basins'
• 'biomicritic limestone with transitions into biointramicrite with fine horizontal bedding. At the base, there is a thin biosparite layer, in the upward direction micrite prevails. In the uppermost part, the rock passes into biosparite.'
