• Bed 2 is top bed of White Sandstone Unit, the top bed of the Chhidru Formation. 7.5 feet thick.

Environment/lithology: marine; fine-grained, medium, white, yellow, calcareous sandstone

• Sandstone, white to light yellowish-grey, calcareous, fine- to medium-grained, generally friable with the exception of thin, hard, more calcareous beds in the middle and near the top which contain bryozoans and brachiopods.
