Also known as Is-DF-302-56
Where: Ryukyu, Japan (24.4° N, 124.1° E: paleocoordinates 28.4° N, 122.2° E)
• coordinate estimated from map
• outcrop-level geographic resolution
When: Nosoko Formation, Late/Upper Eocene (37.2 - 33.9 Ma)
• From the base of a green tuff-breccia, which, in its lower part, is somewhat conglomeratic and contains calcaerous nodules. The Nosoko Formation rest conformably on the Miyara Formation on the Yarabu Peninsula. Paleontologic data suggest an Eocene age, assumed to be late Eocene as it is above the middle Eocene Miyara Formation and is said to range of late Eocene through Oligocene
• bed-level stratigraphic resolution
Environment/lithology: coastal; concretionary, tuffaceous, green, calcareous conglomerate
Size class: macrofossils
