When: "Gypseous Marls" Formation, Bartonian (41.3 - 38.0 Ma)

• The upper Eocene in this area is divided into (from base to top), the Cardita Series, Green beds, gypsiderous marls, Tanak beds, and Red beds. The "Gypseous Marls" consist of 80 m (262 ft) of interbedded shales and argillaceous limestones, fissile shales, and gypsiferous marls. A Bartonian age gas been suggested for this unit.
