When: Um ad Dahiv Formation, Early/Lower Oligocene (33.9 - 28.4 Ma)

• The formation conformably overlies the Upper Eocene Qarat al Jifah Member of the Wadi Tamet Formation and is overlain by the Greir Bu Hascisc Formation. It consists of reefal, massive, bedded dolomites with common glauconite, peloids and bioclasts. Moldic porosity is up to 30%. The thickness of the formation is 10-23 m (33-75 ft). The upper part is composed on gypsiferous silty clays. Carbonate nodules are common in the bottom of the unit.
