When: Rancho Nuevo Formation (Difunta Group), Early/Lower Paleocene (66.0 - 61.7 Ma)

• Fossils obtained from the Rancho Nuevo Formation suggest an early Tertiary (Midway Fm-equivalent) age, equivalent to Kincaid-lower Wells Point, Clayton-lower Porters Creek, and lower Velasco units on the Gulf coastal plain.

• Interpreted as tidal flat facies.
