When: lower Member (Bailuyuan Formation), Late/Upper Eocene to Late/Upper Eocene (37.2 - 28.4 Ma)

• There are three members in the Bailuyuan Formation, the upper, middle and lower. Fossils have been found in the upper and lower members. There is only 1 fossil locality in the lower member, which is a gray-white massive sandstone grading to a thinly laminated purple-red mudstone. The fossil was found in a sandstone concretion.
